Appellate Practice

Lydecker’s Appellate Practice Division regularly handles appeals in the various Florida District Courts of Appeal, the Florida Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Our Appellate Practice group provides a full range of service in state, federal, and administrative cases. The Firm handles numerous high-stakes appeals, issues of first impression, cases with industry-wide significance, and multi-party suits.
Young Kim is an Associate located in Lydecker’s Jersey City office. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. Mr. Kim’s practice area involves all aspects of Civil Litigation in the state courts of New York and New Jersey.

Matthew Overpeck is Of Counsel in the firm’s Tampa Office and serves in the Appellate and Legal Support Unit within the Trial Division.
Dawn E. George is of Counsel and a supervising attorney in the Tampa office, where she practices in labor and employment law and civil defense litigation.

E. Taylor George is a Partner and trial counsel for the Tampa office, also working with the Orlando, Jacksonville, and Tallahassee offices.
Mr. Sanchez Parraga is Of Counsel in the Lydecker Miami and New York offices. He counsels insurers on insurance coverage, claim adjustment, and contract interpretation on first-party property homeowners and commercial losses, bad faith litigation, fire/theft/fraud investigation, and windstorm coverage.
Ms. Maken has substantial experience in handling appellate matters. Over her career, she has authored hundreds of briefs filed in the Florida Supreme Court, Florida's District Courts of Appeal, the Eleventh Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Forrest Andrews is the Chair of Lydecker LLP’s Errors & Omissions Department and Co-Chair of its Commercial Department. Forrest has extensive experience defending claims against attorneys, insurance agents and brokers, real estate agents and brokers, property managers, directors and officers, and other types of professionals.
Jeremy Harris is a civil litigator with extensive trial and appellate court experience in complex litigation. Mr. Harris practices construction law and represents general contractors/subcontractors and developers in all manner of construction defect litigation.
