Laura Revak is an associate at the Miami office of Lydecker, Lee, Behar, Berga, & De Zayas, LLC. As a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Group, Ms. Revak counsels clients on strategies to ensure protection of the clients' intellectual property across borders. Ms. Revak's practice focuses on the enforcement, protection, maintenance, and application of both domestic and foreign trademarks portfolios, encompassing hundreds of trademarks worldwide. Additionally, Ms. Revak has experience with a multitude of internet issues, including domain name disputes, domain name transfers, cybersquatting claims, as well as WIPO and ICANN proceedings. Ms. Revak's practice further encompasses trademark and copyright litigation, including claims for infringement, dilution, false advertising, unfair competition, as well as disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. She also advises clients as to corporate matters such as licensing and franchising agreements, sweepstakes and promotions law, and other marketing and e-commerce issues. In addition, Ms. Revak has practiced complex commercial litigation including international business disputes, breach of contract claims, and securities actions.
Ms. Revak received her J.D., with honors, from the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables in May of 2003. Prior to law school, Ms. Revak earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Ms. Revak is admitted to practice in Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. She is a member of the Florida Bar, the Dade County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Ms. Revak is the co-author of "A Comity of Errors: Understanding the International Abstention Doctrine," published in the University of Florida Journal of International Law, Volume 17, Issue 2.
