Margaret H. Mevers
is a litigation associate in the firm's Miami office. Mrs. Mevers practices in the areas of complex commercial litigation, labor and employment law, insurance/reinsurance litigation, construction defect litigation, government liability, corporate contract negotiations, international transactions and civil rights litigation.

Mrs. Mevers graduated from the University of Miami, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Finance and Marketing in 1998. Subsequently, Mrs. Mevers graduated from the University of Miami with a Masters in Business Administration in 2002 and a Juris Doctor in 2003. Mrs. Mevers received accolades for her involvement and leadership in the Voluntary Income Tax Assistance Program, providing free tax assistance to low-to-moderate income individuals.

During her practice, Mrs. Mevers has been involved in complex litigation and administrative proceedings in the areas of healthcare, education, construction defects, labor and employment, and governmental immunity. She has provided training and lectures to various corporate, public and private entities on the following topics: Corporate Compliance issues involving the following: Title VII, HIPAA, Sexual Harassment, ADA, Student Admission Issues and Standards, and Student Disciplinary Issues. Mrs. Mevers has also developed and implemented corporate compliance plans for various public, private and governmental entities.

She is admitted to practice in South Carolina, all state courts in Florida, the United States District Court for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Mrs. Mevers is a member of the American Bar Association.
