Stephen Hunter Johnson, Esq. was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey. After he received his B.S. in Management from Coppin State University in 2000, he attended the University of Miami School of Law, graduating Cum Laude in 2003. While at the University of Miami, Mr. Johnson was selected a Dean's Scholar and awarded the Bill Colson Mock Trial Award by the Miami chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He was also a finalist in both The University of Miami Moot Court Board Mock Trial and Negotiation Competitions.
Upon completion of law school, Mr. Johnson became an associate in the Miami office of a business litigation boutique headquartered in New York, where he represented banking and corporate interests in multiple international business and commercial disputes.
Mr. Johnson specializes in litigation representing commercial entities and municipalities in trial and appellate courts throughout Florida. He is licensed to practice law in the state of Florida and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; as well as the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.
In addition to his professional commitments, Mr. Johnson also recognizes his responsibility to his community. He serves as Chairman of the Board for the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Richmond Perrine (Fl) Foundation, a charitable trust which provides college scholarships for young African American students in south Miami-Dade County. He is also a tutor for the Minority Bar Passage Program sponsored by the Dade County Bar Association.
